The Opportunity
The National Category Manager plays a pivotal role in the Sales team, providing key category and commercial data, analysis, and insights that help plan and activate business initiatives across our regions. This role works closely with Marketing, Commercial Finance, and Supply Chain teams to support the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
Lead the domestic Category Range Review process with key Grocery, Pharmacy, and Convenience retailers.
Own the Commercial Calendar, including Range Reviews, NPD launches, and deletions, ensuring timelines are met across domestic and international projects.
Analyse sales data to identify trends, uncover root causes, and recommend actionable solutions.
Build and track NPD assumptions: distribution, rate of sale, pricing, and competitive sets.
Support portfolio planning through competitive set analysis and market deep dives.
Maintain and update regular reports on sales performance, competitor activity, and market trends.
Provide sales analytical support and insights to support domestic and international channels.
Deliver promotional guidelines to optimise net price realisation, including frequency and depth across the branded portfolio.
Prepare ad hoc reports and presentations as required.
What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business, or related field.
Approx. 5 years’ experience in Category Management, National Account Management, or Analyst roles within FMCG.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into commercial insights.
Curious, creative problem-solver with a results-driven mindset.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
