The Opportunity

This casual role supports the delivery and ongoing compliance of Noumi’s Food Safety and Quality systems, processes, and culture. You will play a hands-on role in laboratory testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement, working closely with production and quality teams to ensure product safety, quality, and customer expectations are consistently met.

• Conduct routine chemical and microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods

• Analyse, report, and escalate test results, non-conformances, and delays as required

• Support investigations, root cause analysis, and additional testing activities

• Maintain laboratory GLP, hygiene standards, and equipment care

• Contribute to audits, document control, GMP, hygiene programs, and off-site sample management

• Participate in daily operational meetings and verification activities

• Drive continuous improvement across quality systems, efficiency, and reliability

• Provide training, coaching, and support to promote a strong food safety and quality culture

What you’ll bring

• Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Science, Laboratory studies, or equivalent industry experience - highly desirable

• Experience with quality and manufacturing systems; microbiological and UHT experience preferred

• Strong understanding of food safety, GMP, and quality standards

• Able to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines

• Flexible, adaptable, and responsive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
