The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Quality Systems Lead to drive food safety, quality compliance, and continuous improvement at our Shepparton site. This role is responsible for leading the Quality Systems team and ensuring all systems, processes, and products meet regulatory, customer, and internal standards.
Lead and maintain site Quality Systems, including HACCP and regulatory compliance (DAFF, Halal, Kosher)
Manage pre-requisite programs (internal audits, GMP, allergens, hygiene, pest control, environmental monitoring, documentation)
Support and participate in external audits and drive timely close-out of findings
Lead initiatives to streamline and improve site Food Safety and Quality Management Systems
Provide leadership, coaching, and training to the Quality Systems team
Drive continuous improvement across quality, compliance, and operational processes
Support broader QA activities including investigations, validations, and audits
What you’ll bring
Diploma or higher in Food Science, Engineering, or related field
Strong experience in quality systems within a manufacturing environment
Solid understanding of HACCP, GMP, and regulatory frameworks
Experience in dairy, UHT, powder, or drying operations (highly regarded)
Proven ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Proactive, adaptable, and improvement-focused
